National Bike Ride Cuba for Peace in Cienfuegos 

Cienfuegos, July 9 (RHC)-- The central-southern Cuban city of Cienfuegos was the main venue for the National Bike Ride 'Cuba for Peace' this Saturday, starting at 8:00 a.m., to celebrate the July 26th anniversary.  The event was part of the "Summer for Everyone" -- "Verano para Todos.".  

Aylin Álvarez García, first secretary of the National Committee of the UJC, Union of Young Communists, the organization in charge of the activities, participated in the event.  

There were more than two hundred bicycles taking part, with university students and workers, including those from the Cycling School.

"There are skaters and the Moto-Cien Project, with 69 teams, a figure similar to the anniversary we will commemorate of the assaults on the Moncada and Carlos Manuel de Céspedes barracks," reports Nayly León Fernández, head of the Ideological Department of the Provincial Committee of the UJC.

León Fernández said that there are cultural and environmental projects all this weekend, as well as youth groups.

The Computer and Electronics Youth Clubs presented technological areas, while INDER, the National Institute of Sports, Physical Education and Recreation exhibited traditional games, gymnastics and combat sports.
