United Nations, Sep 23 (RHC) On Friday, Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla highlighted Cuba's excellent relations with South Africa, after meeting with Naledi Pandor, that country's Minister of International Relations and Cooperation.

 

In his Twitter account, the Cuban foreign minister described the meeting with Pandor as fraternal and assured that "we noted with satisfaction the excellent state" of bilateral ties.

 

Rodríguez Parrilla also pointed out "the mutual interest in deepening economic, trade and cooperation relations".

 

Cuba and South Africa maintain close collaboration in sectors such as health, human settlements, infrastructure, water resources management, sanitation, and basic education.

 

At the same time, they seek to expand this cooperation with new agreements in agriculture, sports, culture, higher education, information and communication technologies, and transportation.

 

At the international level, both nations maintain a close dialogue on regional and multilateral issues, in scenarios such as the United Nations, the Non-Aligned Movement, the Group of 77 plus China, and others to promote peace, sustainable development, and progress toward a fair and equitable governance system.
