Ian made landfall in the United States as a category four hurricane

Havana, Oct 5 (RHC) Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez regretted the loss of human lives and the numerous damages caused by Hurricane Ian in the United States.

From his Twitter account, the head of Cuban diplomacy conveyed his condolences to the families of the victims and wished a speedy recovery to the injured.

On Wednesday last week, Ian made landfall in the United States as a category four hurricane as a result people are still isolated, without cell phone services, electricity, water supply, and Internet, due to obstruction of roads, destroyed bridges, and flooded highways.

The search for survivors continued in the state of Florida, declared a major disaster area by President Joseph Biden, and where almost a hundred deaths have been reported so far.

Data from the PowerOutage.us website show that around 500 thousand homes and businesses are still without electricity supply (Source: PL).
