Havana, October 14 (RHC)-- The First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and President of the Republic, Miguel Diaz-Canel received this Friday at the Palace of the Revolution, General To Lam, Minister of Public Security of Vietnam and the delegation accompanying him.
On his Twitter account, the dignitary said that during the meeting both reaffirmed the historical ties that unite the Indochinese nation with the Caribbean island, as well as the importance of continuing to strengthen them.
This morning, the Vietnamese representative visited the Fidel Castro Ruz Center in Havana, as reported by that institution in a tweet on the same social network. The day before, To Lam met with the head of the Cuban government, Manuel Marrero Cruz to ratify the relations of brotherhood and solidarity between their countries.
At the meeting, the prime minister recalled his recent stay in Vietnam, as part of a tour of Asia, which contributed to strengthening ties of friendship and cooperation, as well as identifying new opportunities for commercial exchange.
To Lam, also a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of Vietnam, thanked the fraternal welcome and stressed the willingness to collaborate in areas of mutual interest.
