Cuban and Vietnamese political organizations strengthen ties

Both sides show interest in strengthening ties that unite the two peoples.

 

Havana, Oct 19 (RHC) Member of the Secretariat of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (CC-PCC) Rogelio Polanco received Tuesday the permanent secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Youth Union of Vietnam, Nguyen Ngoc Luong.

 

On its official Twitter account, the PCC said that the also head of its Ideological Department, expressed to the visitors the interest in continuing to strengthen the relations of friendship and solidarity between the two countries, which have been developed over 60 years as a legacy of leaders Fidel Castro Ruz (1926-2016) and Ho Chi Minh (1890-1969).

 

For his part, Nguyen Ngoc Luong thanked the reception and the possibility of sharing with Cubans and stressed that both peoples are united by a common cause and historical ties of brotherhood.

 

He also expressed his gratitude for the selfless and human help that Cuba has always given to

Vietnam, especially in this last stage against the Covid-19 pandemic.

 

Nguyen Ngoc Luong praised the achievements of the island in its renewal policy and said that a heroic people like this will be able to solve all the problems ahead and meet the development goals.

 

Meanwhile, Polanco said that Vietnam has not only expressed its solidarity with systematic denunciations of the U.S. blockade against the island in international forums but has also contributed with donations to the Cuban people, a valuable solidarity action.

 

At the meeting, Nguyen Ngoc Luong also expressed his desire that collaboration and exchange between the two nations be increasingly nurtured and strengthened. He assured that his party has given them the mission to always be by Cuba's side and support it in any circumstance.

 

The delegation of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union began a working visit to the Caribbean Island, with the laying of a wreath at the monument of the founding father of that nation, Ho Chi Minh, in the park that bears his name in Havana.

 

Aylín Álvarez, first secretary of the National Committee of the Union of Young Communists of Cuba, welcomed the delegation and considered this visit as a great opportunity to strengthen the historic ties of brotherhood and undertake new projects. (Source: PL)
