Culture Minister denounced US aggressions against Cuba in Argentina
Buenos Aires, Nov 12 (RHC) Cuban Culture Minister Alpidio Alonso denounced in Argentina the strong media war and the economic, commercial and financial blockade of the United States against his country.
Speaking the day before at an international meeting to commemorate two decades of the Centro Cultural de la Cooperación, in Buenos Aires, Alonso condemned the intensification of these aggressions during the Covid-19 pandemic, which he described as opportunistic. He also questioned the inclusion of the island in a list of alleged sponsors of terrorism drawn up by Washington.
On the other hand, he advocated for regional integration and highlighted the role of culture in the emancipation and transformation proposals.
For his part, the renowned Cuban intellectual and president of Casa de las Americas, Abel Prieto, denounced the role of the mass media and social networks in the attacks on his nation and in aggressions such as the coup d'état against former Bolivian president Evo Morales. (Source: PL)
