Moscow, Nov 20 (RHC) On Sunday, Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel held a meeting with Cuban workers in Russia, as part of his official visit to the Slavic nation.
During the meeting in Moscow, the president explained the current Cuban and international reality, as well as the efforts made by the island to confront the intensified U.S. blockade and the economic situation aggravated by the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.
He recalled that precisely in the most critical moments of the disease in Cuba, the enemies of the Island increased their aggressive policy, especially in the economic, commercial, and financial spheres.
Likewise, at those moments, scientists and young people grew up in the face of difficulties, alternatives were sought, vaccines were created and Cuba offered its help to many peoples of the world, the head of state pointed out.
He affirmed that the solutions to the problems are not immediate, and there is confidence in the capacity of the people to achieve a better future for the country, despite the efforts of the imperialist logic to distort the Cuban reality.
Díaz Canel was also interested in the progress of the agreements on the granting of scholarships for Cuban students in the Russian Federation.
In the capital of the Eurasian nation, the Cuban president will also hold meetings with the highest authorities of the Slavic country, including President Vladimir Putin.
A significant moment of his stay will be the inauguration of a monument to the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro, on the 22nd in the square of the same name in Moscow's Sokol district. (Source: PL)
