China-Cuba strengthen economic, trade, financial, and cooperation ties

Beijing, Nov 25 (RHC) Following official talks between Presidents Xi Jinping and Miguel Diaz-Canel, representatives of both sides signed 12 documents covering different sectors.

Among them is the Plan for Political Consultations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cuba and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China.

Other documents include the minutes of delivery and receipt of an emergency cash donation, of medicines, medical supplies, and food for the Caribbean island.

Some referred to Chinese donations for the projects Raw Materials for School Uniforms and Work Clothing, the Biocubafarma Cloud Telepresence System, and the Forensic Data Laboratory.

Others are related to the execution of the National Identity System for natural persons and the Supply of kitchen utensils for high social impact plans.

The Ministries of Commerce of the two nations sealed a memorandum of understanding for the strengthening of economic and commercial cooperation.

Cuba's MINCEX signed a second one with China's National Development and Reform Commission (the highest planning body) to establish the coordination mechanism to implement the cooperation plan for the joint promotion of the Silk Road and Belt initiative.

This Cuban entity signed another one with the Agency for International Development Cooperation, aimed at promoting collaboration and boosting the Chinese proposal for Global Development.

Likewise, the communist parties of Cuba and China signed a pact on the exchange and cooperation between them. (Source: PL)
