Havana, Nov 28 (RHC) Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Zhao Lijian said Monday in Beijing that the recent visit of Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel is of great importance and significance for bilateral relations.
The spokesman stressed that the trip took place at the right time. The Antillean dignitary is the first from Latin America and the Caribbean to arrive in the Asian giant after the 20th Congress of the Communist Party of China.
Zhao Lijian referred to his country's willingness to work with Cuba and the rest of Latin America and the Caribbean to promote a partnership in which equality, mutual benefit, and common development prevail.
Díaz-Canel made a short but very intense visit to China on November 24-25, which included official talks and the signing of agreements to boost bilateral cooperation. (Source: Radio Reloj)
