Tenth Ordinary Session of Cuban Parliament begins today
Havana, December 12 (RHC)-- The Tenth Ordinary Session of the National Assembly of People's Power in Cuba began today in Havana with the presentation of the general objectives and goals for the 2023 Economy Plan.
Alejandro Gil, deputy prime minister and head of Economy and Planning, will also report on the progress of that front and the fulfillment of the plan of measures approved in the preceding period.
The program includes a presentation by the Minister of Energy and Mines, Vicente de la O, on the situation of the National Electro-energy System, and the Minister of Agriculture, Ydael Pérez, will address compliance with the Law on Food Sovereignty and Food and Nutritional Security.
On the other hand, the head of Internal Commerce, Betsy Díaz, will refer to the progress of the improvement of the local subordination retail trade, and the head of Justice, Oscar M. Silvera, will detail the fulfillment of the Legislative Schedule. During these days, the deputies will analyze several bills, among them, the bill on the General Comptroller's Office of the Republic of Cuba and the bill on the Promotion and Development of Livestock, which responds to the changes in the Cuban economy.
