Díaz-Canel describes special and fraternal relations with Vietnam

Havana, December 21 (RHC)-- The First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, and President of the Republic, held a virtual meeting, from the Palace of the Revolution, with the General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Nguyen Phu Trong.

The Cuban Head of State described the ties with Vietnam as special and fraternal relations, according to the Cuban Presidency's Twitter account.

The two leaders discussed the economic and social situation of the two nations, as well as bilateral relations and the need to continue strengthening them.

Bilateral relations between Cuba and Vietnam are excellent and are maintained at the highest level. Official partisan ties date back to December 1960.

Since then, partisan ties have been consolidated uninterruptedly.
