Ambassador of Azerbaijan
Baku, Dec 22 (RHC) The new ambassador appointed by Azerbaijan to Cuba, Ruslan Rzayev, visited today the diplomatic mission of the Caribbean Island in this city, where he was received by his counterpart Carlos Valdes.
During the meeting they reviewed the positive progress of bilateral relations and reiterated the mutual interest in boosting ties between the two countries, Valdes told Prensa Latina.
They also talked about developments in Cuba and the rest of Latin America and the Caribbean, as well as on issues of mutual interest in the multilateral sphere, especially on Azerbaijan's chairmanship of the Non-Aligned Movement.
Both diplomats agreed on the significant fact that in the year of the 30th anniversary of relations between Baku and Havana, the appointment for the first time of an Azerbaijani ambassador with residence in Cuba takes place. (Source: PL)
