Vietnam recognizes the strength of the Cuban Revolution
Hanoi, Jan 2 (RHC) Representatives of solidarity groups and members of Cuba's state mission in Vietnam have confirmed the strength of the Cuban Revolution, 64 years after the triumph of January 1, 1959.
We have gone through a year full of challenges, tensions, and aggressions, but supported by the strength of the revolutionary work raised against all odds, we were able to overcome obstacles that seemed insurmountable, said the counselor, Pedro Soca.
The diplomat stressed that the worst and most comprehensive of all these obstacles is the economic, financial, and commercial blockade of the United States, which continued to register unprecedented measures and actions, which stood out for its systematicity.
All spheres of our society and the daily life of Cubans suffered the impact of the intensified siege, reinforced with more than 240 norms aimed at economically asphyxiating Cuba, subverting the internal order, creating a situation of ungovernability, and overthrowing the Revolution.
Soca also recalled the sad events that shook the whole country in 2022, such as the accident at the Saratoga Hotel, the fire at the supertanker base in the western province of Matanzas, and the devastating passage of Hurricane Ian.
He also recalled and thanked "our martyrs in their caravan led by our invincible Commander in Chief Fidel Castro", as well as the leader of the Revolution, Raul Castro, and those who made up "the historic generation" who are still with us.
The Cuban diplomat insisted that although the year was full of tensions and challenges, it was also full of triumphs, and quoted the words of President Miguel Díaz-Canel, who said that the Revolution triumphs every time we achieve a victory for our cause and in 2022 we achieved it many times.
