Cuba can overcome the crisis it is going through

Havana, Cuba, Jan 5 (RHC) Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel said today that the Caribbean nation can overcome the crisis it is going through, aggravated by the blockade imposed by the United States and the complex world situation.

During a meeting with the highest authorities of the central province of Ciego de Avila, the head of state expressed that all citizens can contribute to the revolutionary transformation of the country.

The president called for "studying the problems, analyzing their contradictions and listening to experts and the people," reported the Presidency of the Republic on its Twitter account.

He pointed out that it is necessary to take an anti-capitalist approach to every problem, "so that the logic of socialist emancipation always prevails," he stressed.

Díaz-Canel called to increase popular participation and to shake inertia, banish bureaucratism, and also stressed that "there is no room for brakes, nor the existence of solutions that are not functional".

This was the starting point of a series of meetings to be held by the President with the highest authorities of the provinces of the Caribbean nation, where actions designed to face the economic and social situation of the country will be discussed. (Prensa Latina)
