Havana, Jan 17 (RHC) Two doctors of medicine from Belize received scholarships at Cuba's diplomatic headquarters in Belmopan to study specialties in the largest Antillean Island.
Cuban Ambassador María Caridad Balaguer presented Wilber J. Westby and Harry A. Canto with scholarships in anesthesiology and gynecology and obstetrics, respectively.
These opportunities are part of the program that Cuba maintains with the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) for the training of human resources in various health specialties.
The diplomat exchanged with the scholarship holders and urged them to continue raising their professional level, which will benefit their country.
