Miguel Díaz-Canel met with Russian businessmen at the Palace of the Revolution.
Havana, Jan 18 (RHC) The first secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and president of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel received Russian businessmen on Wednesday at the Palace of the Revolution.
During a meeting to follow up on the agreements signed during his visit to Moscow last November, the dignitary highlighted the agility in the progress of negotiations with the large delegation.
The Cuban side was represented by Deputy Prime Minister Ricardo Cabrisas and the Minister of Foreign Trade and Investment, Rodrigo Malmierca, among others.
During the Cuban president's visit to Russia in November last year, he met with his counterpart Vladimir Putin, with whom he held official talks to discuss the current state and prospects for the development of the Russian-Cuban strategic partnership in the political, economic-commercial, cultural and humanitarian spheres.
As a result of the four-day official visit, the Cuban authorities reported progress in cooperation projects in the Antillana de Acero steel company, oil prospecting, and production in Boca de Jaruco, the rehabilitation of the Villa Clara mechanical plant, and the registration of the Heberprot-P drug.
During that visit, progress was made in other programs related to the Mariel Special Development Zone (Source: Prensa Latina).
