Havana, January 19 (RHC)-- Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Party and President of the Republic, heads a meeting this evening in the city of Bayamo with the highest authorities of the province of Granma.
The Prime Minister, Manuel Marrero Cruz, and Roberto Morales Ojeda, Secretary of Organization of the CC of the PCC, accompany the President in the meeting attended by cadres of political and mass organizations, producers, private entrepreneurs, managers of companies, agencies and institutions.
The main challenges and tasks of economic and social order defined in the territory, focus the dialogue that seeks to promote the deployment of all existing potentialities to make 2023 a better year.
When presenting the introductory information for the debate, the First Secretary of the PCC in Granma, Yanaisi Capó Nápoles, underlined the high potential represented by 430 productive bases of sugarcane and non-cane agriculture, and the process of recovery of a solid livestock infrastructure built by the Revolution.
He also highlighted the existence of a consolidated rice program with state-of-the-art technology, and the granting of foreign trade powers to the Fernando Echenique Grain Agroindustrial Enterprise.
In terms of economic management, among other advances, it is planned to continue reducing the province's budget deficit and to produce 25 exportable items, he said.
Prior to the exchange that took place in the theater of the Provincial Committee of the Party in Granma, Díaz-Canel headed similar meetings today in the neighboring provinces of Guantánamo and Santiago de Cuba.
