Fernández advocated for the unity of the Patria Grande.

Havana, Jan 24 (RHC) Argentine President Alberto Fernandez condemned Tuesday in Buenos Aires the economic, commercial, and financial blockade of the United States against Cuba while speaking at the 7th Summit of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC).

"As pro tempore head of CELAC, I demanded respect for the rights of all nations and the end of the blockades that the countries of the region undergo," said the president.

He affirmed that blockades are perverse methods against people. "Cuba has suffered one for more than six decades and that is unforgivable", he emphasized.

Likewise, he denounced the U.S. aggressions against Venezuela and stressed the importance of raising our voices in the face of such acts.

The Argentine president expressed his support for the unity of the so-called Patria Grande (Great Homeland) and warned about the rise of extreme right-wing forces.

On the other hand, he stressed the need to defend integration and pay special attention to problems faced by the Caribbean such as climate change. (Source: Prensa Latina).
