Cuban president attends final gala of Habano Festival

Havana, March 3 (RHC)-- Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and President of the Republic, attends the final ceremony of the 23rd Habano Festival at the Pabexpo fairgrounds in the capital.

Manuel Marrero Cruz, member of the Political Bureau and Prime Minister, as well as other leaders and executives of the Tabacuba business group and the Habanos S.A. corporation, organizer of the traditional event that takes place at the Pabexpo fairgrounds. the organizer of the traditional event, which on this occasion gathered more than 2,000 participants from 110 countries.

The co-presidents, Maritza Carrillo and Luis Sanchez, said at the artistic-cultural gala that it has been an intense week that has included a trade fair, an international seminar and visits to tobacco factories in the capital and to tobacco plantations in the province of Pinar del Rio.

In that sense, they assured that it undoubtedly met the expectations of those who continue to bet on the best tobacco in the world, and invited those friends from Cuba to participate in the XXIV edition in 2024.

The closing ceremony was dedicated to the prestigious Partagás brand and included the presentation of its new Master Line and the winners of the 2022 Habano Awards in the categories of production, marketing and communication.

At press time, the gala continued with the auction of exclusive humidors, one of them bearing Díaz-Canel's signature and whose proceeds will be donated to Cuban public health.

Habanos S.A. markets 27 Premium cigar brands, the most prestigious and in demand internationally, and the 23rd Festival was dedicated to three of them: Bolívar, Montecristo and Partagás.
