Havana, March 17 (RHC)-- Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel attended tonight the closing ceremony and concert of the second edition of the Patria International Colloquium, on the steps of the University of Havana.
Roberto Morales Ojeda, member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the PCC and Secretary of Organization, also participated in the event together with the delegates of the international event that took place for two days at Casa de las Americas.
The political-cultural show, which was postponed on Tuesday due to inclement weather conditions, featured the Buena Fe group and included audiovisual producers, musicians, mapping artists -known as video mapping- as a visual technique to project images on real surfaces in order to create stunning effects and animations.
Other artists such as Nelson Valdés, a troubadour from Cienfuegos, joined this popular celebration.
The Patria International Colloquium was attended by intellectuals, artists, activists and communicators from several countries.
During this conclave, issues such as disinformation, hate speeches and the digital blockade applied against the largest of the Antilles were addressed and strategies were outlined to devise responses from the communicative and cultural dimension to circumvent the siege imposed by U.S. imperialism and play an active role in the dismantling of campaigns based on lies and manipulation.
