Havana, March 22 (RHC) The Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) congratulated this Wednesday the People's Revolutionary Party of Laos, on the occasion of celebrating the 68th anniversary of its foundation.
From his Twitter account, the Secretary of Organization of the PCC, Roberto Morales, described the Laotian organization as "the political vanguard of that nation in the construction of socialism and in the preservation of its sovereignty."
On this social network, the head of the PCC's Department of International Relations, Emilio Lozada, conveyed his congratulations and highlighted the more than six decades of struggles and victories of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party in defense of socialism.
Cuba and Laos established their diplomatic relations in 1974, but since long before they share ties that have remained unchanged during all these decades.
In 2022, the ties between the two nations were strengthened with the visit of the Cuban Prime Minister, Manuel Marrero Cruz, to the Southeast Asian nation, which resulted in four agreements in the areas of higher education, agriculture, and health. (Source: Prensa Latina)
