The head of Government went to polling station 1 of the People’s Council of Gibara
Havana, Mar 26 (RHC) Cuban Prime Minister Manuel Marrero voted on Sunday in the eastern town of Gibara, in Holguin province, where he is a candidate for the National Assembly of People's Power (Parliament).
On early Sunday, the head of Government went to polling station 1 of the People’s Council of Gibara, where 386 voters will elect those representing them in Parliament.
Upon arrival, Marrero spoke with the people and shared his visits to the towns in this municipality’s nine people’s councils.
He stressed that direct contact with the population is profitable and will be a permanent working style for the new parliamentarians.
Regarding the elections, the prime minister stressed the peaceful atmosphere during the voting, in tune with what is stipulated in the Constitution, and noted that in this same polling station, people come freely, without pressure, to exercise their right to vote. (Source: PL)
