Laos and Cuba expand cooperation for the training of human resources

Havana, Apr 6 (RHC) The expansion of cooperation in favor of the training and development of human resources was valued in Vientiane today by the Cuban ambassador to Laos, Enna Viant, as an important milestone in the close bilateral relations.

Viant referred to the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the "Raúl Roa García" Higher Institute of International Relations (ISRI) in Havana and the Institute of Foreign Relations of the Lao People's Democratic Republic. The document was signed the day before by Viant herself on behalf of the rector of ISRI and by the director general of the Laotian institution, Mai Sayavong, in the presence of Vice Chancellor Thongphane Savannphet.

Under the agreement, both educational centers will exchange information and experiences about the content of academic courses, the training of human resources for the sector, research on emerging issues, and other matters of mutual interest.

The signing of the memorandum, commented the Cuban ambassador, achieved wide repercussions in the national media, which highlighted the continuous development of relations between Cuba and Laos, established 49 years ago. (Source: Prensa Latina)
