Constitutive session of the Cuban Parliament is described as transcendental
Havana, April 10 (RHC) - The Secretary of Organization of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba, Roberto Morales Ojeda, described this Monday the constitutive session of the National Assembly of People's Power (Cuban parliament), scheduled for next April 19, as transcendental.
The partisan leader shared on his Twitter profile the call made the day before by the Council of State, and recalled that on that date the 62nd anniversary of the victory at Playa Girón, the first military defeat of imperialism in Latin America, is celebrated.
Parliament, when constituting itself for a new Legislature, elects its president, vice president, secretary and other members of the Council of State from among its deputies.
Likewise, it will elect the President and Vice President of the Republic; and at the proposal of the president, the prime minister, the vice prime ministers, the secretary and other members of the Council of Ministers will be appointed. (Source: Radio Reloj)
