US manipulation of young Cubans through social networks is denounced

Havana, Apr 13 (RHC) - The incitement from the United States to young Cubans, through social networks, to commit terrorist actions against their country, was denounced today by the local press.

A report on the Cuban television news explained that "the supposed defenders" of what they call democracy are financing sabotage of the island's infrastructure and preparing militarily for an invasion. According to the material, these people increase their wealth by manipulating and inciting nationals to promote harmful and misleading content in digital spaces.

The television press shared statements by defendants who admitted having accepted monetary incentives with which an act of sabotage was carried out, such as the burning of a farm, and the publication on social networks of content against the revolutionary process.

One of the sources presented, whose identity was not revealed, said that he was contacted on Facebook by the organization The New Cuban Nation in Arms, based in the United States and whose mission is to intervene in Cuba and overthrow the government.

He recounted that he received military preparation and was trained in the use of various weapons such as the AR-15, M16, Ak-47, among others, and was asked to bring a group of 20 men to the Cuba "to wreak havoc”.

He added that The New Cuban Nation in Arms is directed by Willy González and most of the meetings are held on the Zoom and Telegram platforms, with a frequency of every three days.

The report stressed that access to the Internet in Cuba and the increase in the use of social networks have allowed manipulation to spread anti-revolutionary propaganda as part of the media-subversive war against the Caribbean island, inciting to chaos and violence. (Source: Prensa Latina)
