Hanoi, August 28 (RHC) –- A message of condolence by Cuba's President Raul Castro for the death of Vietnamese fighter Vo Thi Thang, known as “The Smile of Victory,” was noted by the Vietnamese media.
In his message addressed to Vietnam's top leaders, the first secretary of the Central Committee of the Cuban Communist Party evoked Vo’s smile by recalling that it travelled the world as a symbol of faith in victory.
The condolences, extensive to the relatives of the outstanding combatant on behalf of the Cuban government and people, was addressed to the General Secretary of the Vietnamese Communist Party, Nguyen Phu Trong, the Republic's President Truong Tan Sang, and Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung, Prensa Latina news agency reported.
