President of Cuba greets workers on their day
Havana, May 1 (RHC) – Cuban president Miguel Díaz-Canel greeted the island's workers today for their International Day and urged them to celebrate it by contributing something to the welfare of the Homeland.
The Cuba’s Workers Central (CTC) reported the day before the postponement of the commemorative activities for May 1, due to the weather instability that caused heavy rains this Sunday in different locations of the country.
In a note released by local television, the organization that brings together all the nation's unions pointed out that May 5 will also be declared a work recess, so that the country's workers can simultaneously hold the parades and rallies that traditionally take place to celebrate the date.
