Cuba hosts peace talks for Colombia from today
Havana, May 2 (RHC) - Cuba will host today the Third Cycle of Peace Talks between the Government of Colombia and the National Liberation Army.
Those negotiations were interrupted for four years, but they resumed in November 2022 in Caracas, the capital of Venezuela, and later took place in Mexico.
According to Eugenio Martínez, general director of Latin America and the Caribbean of Cuba’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the conditions are guaranteed for the development of these talks in Havana.
On April 25, Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez announced the date on which the Caribbean nation would host this meeting and affirmed that his country would act with the traditional disposition and impartiality that characterizes it as guarantor and alternative venue. (Source: Prensa Latina)
