Cuba ratifies cooperation in health matters with Saint Kitts and Nevis, Italy and Egypt

 

Havana, May 23 (RHC) The Cuban Minister of Public Health, José Ángel Portal, ratified today through his Twitter account his country's will to consolidate ties with Saint Kitts and Nevis in the health sphere.

Portal reported on an online meeting with Dr. Sharon Archibald, permanent secretary of the Ministry of Health of the Federation of Saint Kitts and Nevis, who thanked the Cuban medical collaboration that provides help in her country.

According to the Cuban minister, after Archibald expressed her interest in the functioning of the national health system, they discussed some of its particularities.

On the same social network, Portal reported that as part of the agenda at the 76th World Health Assembly, he held an exchange with Orazio Schillaci, Minister of Health of the Italian Republic. At the end of the dialogue, both officials signed a Memorandum of Understanding on collaboration in the fields of Health and Medical Sciences, from which relations between both ministries are strengthened, creating more favorable conditions for the development of joint collaboration.

Another of the meetings held by Portal was with his Egyptian counterpart, Dr. Khaled Abdel-Ghaffar, where Cuba ratified its interest in consolidating and diversifying ties in Health and exposed the purpose of both nations to achieve greater benefits for both peoples and work to extend them to others who need it.

In addition, topics in which medical cooperation between Cuba and Egypt could be strengthened were evaluated, such as the exchange of experiences for the strengthening of health systems; academic training; biopharmaceutical products, and technology transfer, stressed the Cuban headline on Twitter.
