Syria and Cuba
Damascus, June 21 (RHC) The Syria-Cuba Friendship Group in the Syrian Parliament and the ambassador of the island, Luis Mariano Fernandez, held talks and ratified the interest in deepening parliamentary ties between the two nations.
During the meeting, the feeling of solidarity and brotherhood that exists in the governments and peoples of both countries was highlighted.
Deputy Mohamed Jray, head of the above-mentioned Group, highlighted the excellent ties in the political field between the two nations and called for the reactivation of the exchange of parliamentary delegations, to investigate the fields of cooperation that achieve mutual benefit for both peoples.
Deep friendship, unconditional solidarity, and unchanging common positions marked almost six decades of relations between Syria and Cuba, which began on August 11, 1965. (Source: PL)
