Havana, July 27 (RHC) -- Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel thanked the peoples and governments of Venezuela and Bolivia for the congratulations sent on the occasion of National Rebellion Day on the island.

"Thanks to the dear people of Venezuela and its President Nicolas Maduro, brother of struggles, for their unwavering love and solidarity towards Cuba. An embrace from the rebellious island on this 70th Moncada," the president wrote on his Twitter account.

Likewise, the head of state of the Caribbean nation thanked the president of Bolivia, Luis Arce, who through the same social network, sent all his solidarity and revolutionary love to the Cuban brothers, who for more than 60 years have endured the criminal U.S. economic blockade.

Through a communiqué, the Venezuelan government reiterated the unwavering solidarity of the Bolivarian Revolution with the brave Cuban people and its government, as it greeted them on the 70th anniversary of the attack on the Moncada and Carlos Manuel de Céspedes barracks.

We join from Venezuela to the commemoration of this historic event, expressed a communiqué issued by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Yván Gil.

The text pointed out that the Bolivarian people have witnessed the historic legacy of the Day of Dignity for Latin America, the Caribbean and other peoples of the world, and affirmed that it celebrates the seven decades of that memorable insurrection. (Source:PL)
