Havana, September 8 (RHC) -- Over 230 delegates from 40 countries will attend an International Symposium to press for the freedom of the remaining members of the Cuban Five who are still prisoners in the United States.

The Vice President of the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP), Fernando Gonzalez, said the event will lay down the next steps in the decades-long campaign to free members of the Cuban Five who have been in U.S. prisons on false charges.

Delegates will meet in Havana on September 11th and 12th. It will be a time to focus on what more we can do in this battle for the return home of Gerardo Hernández, Ramón Labañino and Antonio Guerrero who are regarded here as Heroes of Cuba along with Rene Gonzalez and Fernando Gonzalez who have since been freed.
