Havana, Aug 31 (RHC) The first dancer of the National Ballet of Cuba, Dani Hernández, will perform starting this Thursday in Panama as a guest artist in the celebrations for the 51st anniversary of the creation of a similar dance group in that country.

Hernández will participate in the galas that will take place until September 3, to interpret the pas de deux The Black Swan, together with the Panamanian prima ballerina Ana Lorena Boyd.

The National Ballet of Panama was created in 1972 and is currently directed by the teacher Gloria Barrios.

Regarding these activities, which have also traveled through communities and provinces such as Veraguas and Chiriquí, Barrios commented that their objective is the dissemination and awareness of the population towards the art of dance.

It is not the first time that the young Cuban dancer has performed in Panama. According to press reports, in July 2019 his performances stood out in the third Panama Ballet Festival together with the Cuban prima ballerina Gretell Morejón. (Source: PL)
