Deputy Foreign Minister of Cuba received the Swiss Ambassador
Havana, Sep 6 (RHC) -- Cuban Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Anayansi Rodríguez today received the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Swiss Confederation, Stefano Vescovi.
In the act, held at the headquarters of the Cuban Foreign Ministry, the Swiss diplomat presented the style copies as ambassador designated by his country, before the government of the Republic of Cuba.
In April of this year, the counselor and head of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs of the Swiss Confederation, Ignazio Cassis, made an official visit to Cuba to continue strengthening bilateral ties with a long history of friendship and cooperation.
Diplomatic relations between Havana and Bern date back to 1902 and, since 1918, Switzerland has had representation in Havana. (Source: PL)
