Solidarity Days with Cuba celebrated in Misiones, Argentina

 

Havana, Sep 12 (RHC) The province of Misiones, in the northeast of Argentina, will host this Tuesday and Wednesday the Solidarity Days with Cuba, which include an extensive program of activities with the participation of the Cuban ambassador Pedro Pablo Prada.

The event is organized by the Héctor P. Agosti Marxist Studies and Training Center (Cefma), the regional Coordinator of the Más Cuba Movement, and the International Relations Observatory of the Victoria Foundation. It includes conferences, cultural events and exchanges in various locations of that territory.

For today, a discussion is planned on the example of Cuba and international solidarity, which will take place at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences of the National University of Misiones, with interventions by Prada and the director of Cefma, Marcelo Rodríguez.

The event will also have the participation of Julia Argentina Perlé, member of the Parliament of the Southern Common Market, and Bryan Ojeda, political secretary of the Communist Youth Federation.

The House of Representatives of Misiones declared of provincial interest the Days of support for Cuba and a tribute to the guerrilla fighter Ernesto Che Guevara (1928-1967), scheduled for tomorrow in the town of Caraguatay. In addition, the city of Posadas recognized the holding of the panel and granted the ambassador the status of Illustrious Visitor.

Prada and members of the Cuban diplomatic mission will be received by Vice Governor Carlos Arce and on the 14th they will participate in the inauguration of the International Forum on Climate Change in Puerto Iguazú. (Source: PL)
