Delegation of Cuba in Saint Kitts and Nevis for Independence Day
Havana, Sep 19 (RHC) Cuba participates today with a high-level delegation, headed by Deputy Prime Minister Jorge Luis Perdomo, in the commemorative activities for the 40th anniversary of Saint Kitts and Nevis.
Perdomo ratified the San Cristobal leadership of the existing friendship between both governments and peoples, during a previous meeting he held in Basseterre with the prime minister of the small Eastern Caribbean State, Terrance Drew, and with his counterpart, Geoffrey Hanley.
The Cuban deputy prime minister conveyed President Miguel Díaz-Canel's invitation for Drew to visit the island.
Cuba and Saint Kitts and Nevis established diplomatic relations in 1995 and are currently developing cooperation projects in the area of health and human resources training. Both countries agree in multilateral scenarios on issues such as climate change, human development, social integration, economic development and health, among others.
