Havana, September 29 (RHC)-- Cuban authorities called on Friday for extreme compliance with energy saving measures implemented in the face of the complex fuel deficit situation the country is experiencing.

Prime Minister Manuel Marrero Cruz said in his X profile that such provisions apply to all sectors and actors of the economy, and affirmed that this battle requires the active participation of all.

Roberto Morales Ojeda, Secretary of Organization of the Communist Party of Cuba, also urged to work tirelessly, from the country's leadership, organizations and territories, to resolve the situation in the shortest time possible.

He said that this requires the conscious participation of the people in the production and rational use of resources.

Last Wednesday, the Minister of Energy and Mines, Vicente de la O Levy explained in the radio program Mesa Redonda that the availability of fuels in the country is complex due to the non-fulfillment of commitments of some suppliers, a situation that should stabilize next month.

On the same program, the Minister of Economy and Planning, Alejandro Gil Fernández, explained the measures adopted by the Government to overcome the difficulties, among which are the savings in all sectors, "which does not mean paralyzing the economy, but delimiting priorities".

He pointed out that it is necessary to work with discipline in this scenario, while he called on the people to have confidence in the Government, which is working, from its socialist conception, to provide solutions to the main problems of the economy.
