Cuba presents in Yucatán Memory Conference for Balance of the World
Havana, Oct 4 (RHC) The memories of the 5th International Conference for the Balance of the World were presented by Cuba in Mérida, in a special information session of the Yucatán Congress.
This conference was held this year in Havana, Cuba, in tribute to José Martí, with the presence of more than a thousand delegates from 89 countries.
The presentation in Mérida was given by Héctor Hernández Pardo, coordinator of the José Martí International Solidarity Project. The activity, convened by the Congressional Art and Culture Commission, was attended by deputies and prominent figures of civil society from the city of Mérida, capital of the Mexican state of Yucatán.
Hernández Pardo referred to the importance of that world forum and to the value of the digital document that he presented and delivered to the deputies and the presidency of the congress.
After highlighting the historical, cultural and solidarity links between the Mexican southeast and Cuba, the also deputy director general of the Martí Program Office announced the call for the 6th International Conference for the Balance of the World, scheduled for January 2025, and urged everyone to work to integrate a large delegation to attend.
He said that this conclave is open to any person of good will who wants to improve the world, wants to promote a culture of peace, and affirms the idea of good.
Previously, deputies Eduardo Sobrino, president of the Art and Culture Commission of Congress, and Jesús Pérez, representing the presidency of the legislative body, highlighted the importance of the Havana events and committed to socializing the Memories presented and promoting the call for 2025.
The session was attended by the Cuban consul in Yucatán, Raisel Calvo, and the member of the World Council of the José Martí International Solidarity Project, Carlos Bojórquez. (Source: PL)
