Cuba prepares International Cybersociety Congress

 

Havana, Oct 4 (RHC) The Cuban capital is preparing today to host the 3rd International Cybersociety Congress, which will take place from October sixteen to twenty, organized by the Union of Computer Scientists of Cuba.

The event, which will be held under the motto Digital Transformation: Global-Local Connection, will feature the participation of more than 30 speakers from Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Ecuador, Spain, Mexico, El Salvador, Portugal, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines and Venezuela.

Representatives of international organizations such as the World Food Programme, the United Nations Development Programme, UNESCO, the European Union and regional entities such as the Federation of Information Technology Entities of Latin America and the Caribbean are also expected to attend.

Participants will debate at the conclave on issues related to artificial intelligence and data science, digital skills, smart cities, next generation infrastructure (5G), digital innovation among other topics.

According to the website of the Union of Computer Scientists, the event will also serve to socialize the bases of the Digital Transformation Policy and the main lines of the Cuban Digital Agenda for 2030.

Around a hundred panelists and speakers from the Cuban academy, companies, new economic actors and entities promoting innovation will speak on highly topical issues, grouped in thematic clusters.

Although the event will take place in person at the capital's National Hotel, the presentations will be broadcast live for virtual delegates on the Picta platform. (Source: PL)
