Cuba's Solidarity with the Palestinian Cause

Havana, October 23 (RHC) -- Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel reiterated today in his account on X, his energetic condemnation of the indiscriminate bombings by the Israeli army against the Palestinian people that continue to cause the death of innocent people in that Middle East territory.

The president showed his solidarity with the inhabitants of the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, victims of what he described as genocide carried out by Israel, which is a disgrace for humanity.

Díaz-Canel referred to Cuba's position on the issue also expressed at the recently concluded meeting on migration issues, held the day before in Palenque, in the Mexican state of Chiapas.

Yesterday I reaffirmed it at the Palenque meeting: we condemn the genocide carried out by Israel against the Palestinian people, a shame for humanity that must stop," the Cuban leader wrote on the social network.

At the meeting, the Cuban president together with leaders of 12 Latin American countries, affected by the current migration crisis, rejected the deadly air strikes on hospitals, schools, and other civilian infrastructure, which have killed thousands of people in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank.

Cuba has expressed its deep concern over the escalation of the conflict between the parties in the last 15 days, following the Israeli response to the incursion into its territory of units of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas).    (Source:PL)
