Tehran, September 18 (RHC) -- Permanent Representative of Cuba to the United Nations Office at Geneva, Anayansi Rodriguez, reiterated Havana's support to find a peaceful solution to the civil war in Syria through dialogue.
In her speech at the 27th session of the United Nations Human Rights Council in Geneva, Rodriguez expressed Cuba’s confidence in the ability of the Syrian people and government to resolve domestic problems without foreign interference.
She condemned the terrorist acts, war crimes, intimidation and murder committed by terrorist organizations in Syria.
The Cuban representative also denounced what some countries and governments are doing to finance and arm these terrorist extremist organizations, then claim to fight against them.
Last month, Cuba warned against the means and goals of unconventional warfare waged by the U.S. with the aim of creating chaos in countries it considers as its enemy.
Cuba stressed that this warfare constitutes an old, secret tactic used by Washington to encourage ideological subversion and destabilize the region to achieve what it considers "regime change."
