Havana, December 1 (Web Network)-- The First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and President of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel held Friday several meetings with representatives of the delegations of China, Ethiopia and Nepal to the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP-28) in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
On his account on the social network X, the dignitary described as fruitful the exchange with comrade Ding Xuexiang, special envoy of President Xi Jinping to the G77 Summit and China in the framework of COP28.
"We reiterate the will to continue strengthening the endearing ties of friendship and cooperation that unite our nations," Díaz-Canel wrote.

In another message posted on the same platform, the Cuban head of state referred to the excellent dialogue with Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed Ali.
"We agreed on expanding the historic bilateral relations. I appreciated the support for the fight against the blockade and we discussed possibilities for mutual cooperation in health, education and agriculture," said the president of the largest Antillean island.
Likewise, Díaz-Canel wrote on X about the exchange with the head of the Government of Nepal, Pushpa Kamal Dahal, with whom he agreed on the good state of bilateral relations and the common challenges faced by developing countries, including those derived from climate change.

Previously, the president spoke with United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres, to whom he ratified Cuba's commitment to making progress on priority issues for developing countries, which despite being the least contributors to climate change, suffer exponentially from its effects.
Díaz-Canel spoke this day at the World Summit on Climate Action as part of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP 28) and said that peace is necessary to save the planet.
