Cuban company stands out in charcoal exports
Matanzas, December 14 (RHC)-- Matanzas´ Agroforestry Enterprise has exported 900 tons of charcoal to date, a figure that makes it stand out among the entities of its kind in the country. According to the website www.giron.cu, 3,294.69 cubic meters of wood were extracted from the natural and artificial forests of the territory, while 1,588.69 cubic meters of round wood were produced, higher than in previous years.
At the national level, the Company's production of wood and charcoal was destined to the Communal Services of Matanzas and Camagüey, the Provincial Beekeeping Company, the Housing Investment Program, among other Cuban entities in order to eliminate imports.
The site points out that another important aspect to be highlighted by the entity is the provision of services to tourism, especially in the construction of huts, beach umbrellas, repairs in the area of carpentry in hotels and gardening.
To increase the productive volumes in the last days of the year are the purpose of Empresa Agroforestal Matanzas in order to maintain its contribution to the national economy while working on the fulfillment of the production plan of male pine seedlings, an important line of business for the institution.
In addition to charcoal and timber production, the company is also involved in the delivery of pine resin for tests carried out at the anti-corrosion study center, among other actions for the development of the economy.
