Havana, December 16 (RHC) -- The debates of the 7th Plenary Session of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (CC-PCC), which is in session in this capital, continues its focus this Saturday on the challenges of the island's economic and social reality.
The forum will review the political-ideological work in compliance with the ideas, concepts and guidelines emanating from the eighth congress of the PCC, held in April 2021.
The delegates will also evaluate the actions and protocols established in terms of attention to gender violence, as this is a social problem.
The day before, the Secretary of Organization Roberto Morales Ojeda assured that the Party is working on actions to revert and find alternatives to the complex situation the Caribbean country is going through.
While presenting the accountability report of the Political Bureau, the leader recalled that the island is dealing with the consequences of the "imperialist encirclement of maximum pressure and total asphyxiation, which does not cease in its failed attempt to overthrow the Revolution".
Morales Ojeda said that in view of this scenario, efforts are intensifying to find solutions "with creativity and our own efforts".
He called to shake the productive bases of the nation and to fulfill the role that corresponds to the party militancy.
On the first day of the VII plenary session, the obstacles prevailing for the socialist state enterprise to play its role as the main actor of the country's economy were analyzed, as well as the difficulties in the attention and control of non-state actors.
The militants also debated the fulfillment of the 93 measures approved to recover the sugar industry, where the actions designed have not yet been able to transform the negative results in production, with a significant decrease in plantations and low agricultural yields. (Source: Prensa Latina)
