Havana, Dec 16 (RHC) The First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and President of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel denounced Saturday that the counterrevolution is promoting actions from abroad to destabilize the country.

During the final session of the 7th Plenary Session of the Central Committee of the Communist Party (CC-PCC), the head of state affirmed that these efforts "come from sick, desperate and weak minds, from people who feel the encouragement of the US government's policy of economic asphyxiation".

Díaz-Canel warned those involved in those destabilizing and terrorist plans that the country's leadership will act with the full weight of the law.

He ratified the premise of maintaining unity, and recalled the ideas of National Hero José Martí: "our enemy follows one plan: the plan to fester, disperse, divide and drown us. That is why we follow another plan: to show ourselves in all our greatness, to stay together, to unite us, to outsmart them...".

At the end of his speech at the closing of the party plenary session, the president ratified that the Cuban Revolution "on the eve of its 65th anniversary (January 1, 2024) together with its militancy, its patriotic and revolutionary sons, we are summoned to act together for a common goal: to save the homeland, the revolution, socialism, and to win".
