Havana, December 21 (RHC) -- The leader of the Cuban Revolution, Raul Castro, and President Miguel Diaz-Canel are attending today a new day of debates of the Second Ordinary Period of Sessions of the National Assembly of People's Power (parliament) at the Palace of Conventions in this capital.

This Wednesday, the deputies will analyze the implementation of the Family Code and the report on the implementation of Law 113 of the Criminal Procedure.

According to the agenda of the forum, the report on the exercise of the highest supervision of the Ministry of Agriculture will be presented, followed by a report from the Ministry of Industry.

As a practice of each ordinary session of the Cuban Parliament, this time the performance of the governments of the eastern province of Las Tunas and Cienfuegos, located in the central-southern part of the country, will be submitted to the criteria of the legislators.

Cuban deputies have been dealing since yesterday and until Friday with issues that, due to their high public sensitivity, are keeping the public expectant in the midst of the international economic crisis and the tightening of the U.S. blockade against the island.
