Havana, December 31 (RHC) --The traditional military ceremony for the anniversary of the triumph of the Cuban Revolution will take place tonight from the capital's San Carlos de la Cabaña Fortress, to commemorate the 65th anniversary of that January 1st that changed national history.

According to a note from the Ministry of the Revolutionary Armed Forces (Minfar), the ceremony will include the firing of 21 artillery salvos.

The detonations will take place at 00:00 local time on Sunday, the source added.

As usual, the capital's population will be able to attend the ceremony for the advent of the new anniversary of the Revolution, on January 1, 2024.

For the occasion, the gates of the San Carlos de la Cabaña Fortress will open at 11:00 p.m. local time, the publication pointed out.

On January 1, 1959, Cubans woke up with the news that dictator Fulgencio Batista and most of his close associates had fled and it was inevitable that the Rebel Army, led by Fidel Castro, would achieve the triumph of its national liberation movement. (Source: Prensa Latina)
