Saint John, January 2 (RHC) -- The Prime Minister of Antigua and Barbuda, Gaston Browne, sent a letter of congratulations to President Miguel Díaz-Canel on the 65th anniversary of the Triumph of the Cuban Revolution.
In his letter, Browne congratulated the government and the people of the largest of the Antilles, and praised the significant contribution of that country to the life of the people of Latin America and the Caribbean.
He highlighted above all the support provided in the areas of education, health, social welfare, training of human resources, as well as in sports and disaster risk reduction.
Despite the economic, financial and commercial blockade imposed by the United States for decades, Cuba remains a global leader in sectors such as education and health, and continues to promote its solidarity, the message reads.
He also ratified the support of his people and government to the Cuban nation, while highlighting the value of the anti-imperialist and anti-colonial struggles.
