Havana, September 23 (RHC)—- Over 600 experts from 21 countries including Cuba are taking part at the International Congress of the Pharmaceutical Laboratories Entrepreneurial Group Labiofam, underway at Havana’s Conventions Center.
The president of the group and of the event’s organizing committee, Jose A. Fraga Castro said that his entity is specialized in the area of veterinary, human and phitosanitary products, including natural medications, bio-pesticides and bio-fertilizers as well as others used to control different diseases, such as Dengue and Malaria. The agenda of the entity also includes dietary products and technology to fight cancer.
Fraga Castro stressed the significance of the international congress for the development of health in the region and he also referred to the setting up of an industrial and pharmaceutical lab complex that will produce over 500 different pharmaceuticals.
High on the agenda of the Congress is a series of key-note lectures including the campaign against Malaria in western African nations.
