Cuba ratifies G77 and China's condemnation of genocide against Palestinians

Kampala, January 19 (RHC) -- Cuban Vice President Salvador Valdes, today ratified the condemnation of the Group of 77 and China to the genocide against the Palestinian people, during the 19th Summit of the Non-Aligned Movement (Mnoal).

The representative of the Caribbean nation, which holds the pro tempore presidency of the bloc, made proposals to put an end to the aggression.

These were summarized in four points: the immediate cease-fire, the dispatch of an international protection mission, the holding of an international peace conference, and the entry of Palestine as a full member of the United Nations.

In his words, he also insisted that cooperation and solidarity are key to face the current challenges of the world and those to come.

Cuba is committed to the NAM's call for the establishment of a democratic, fair and equitable international order that responds to the demands for peace, sustainable development and justice of the peoples of the world.

The NAM currently has 120 members, 18 observer states, 10 observer organizations and deals with a diversity of issues on the multilateral agenda. (Source: Prensa Latina)
